Job description
ELEKS Software Engineering & Development Office is looking for a Senior Java/AI Developer based in Buenos Aires for a hybrid position: 2–3 days per week onsite at our local office, with the remaining days remote. Working hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00/7:00 PM ART

REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java and/or Python
- Hands-on experience working with LLMs (integration, evaluation, or architecture)
- Practical experience with prompt engineering
- Understanding of API design and backend service development
Nice to Have
- Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

Experience with vector databases and embeddings
- Cloud AI services experience (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, etc.)
- MLOps or LLMOps exposure
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and build AI-powered features and services using LLMs
- Develop and maintain backend components in Java and/or Python
- Implement prompt engineering strategies and evaluate model outputs
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing applications
- Stay current with emerging LLM tooling, frameworks, and best practices
- Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery practices
